Banks

Lloyds Bank

13 Victoria St, Crewe CW1 2JQ, UK – 0345 300 0000

One of the best customer service provider in banking business in Crewe. Staffs are really friendly and helpful.

I have always had very good service at the branch, except one occasion when I was a little informally dressed:)

The Co-op Bank

3 Earle St, Crewe CW1 2BS, UK – 01270 212920

Suddenly... the cash machine began to glow. It was outside... and the sun shone down from the sky. This doesn't always happen in England! The staff are very friendly and efficient in this pod of coop's earth.

It's an ATM machine for goodness sake.

NatWest

The Square, Market St, Crewe CW1 2HN, UK – 0345 788 8444

Would be nice if it was open longer and offered paying in out of hours

Just had a complete re-fit inside and is now very contemporary. Staff are helpful as you might expect

Building Societies

Nationwide

28 Market St, Crewe CW1 2JJ, UK – 0800 554 0717

Recently went in to open my son a bank account. Met by a very nice chap on the front desk who greeted us and offered us a drink whilst we waited. We were seen quickly and the advisor took the time to explain everything to my son. As a company I like Nationwide due to its mutual status and the way it views customers. Overall, recommended. Crewe branch.

Staff are lovely and very helpful

Cheshire Building Society

Local Chambers of Commerce for CW1 4LY. These can be an extraordinarily effective way of getting into the business community and / or getting things done. Equally they can be entirely useless depending on the chair. If they have networking events associated with them definitely go, and keep going, if you have a business that need local support. What you put in is exactly what you get out. Below is the national site. Watch this slot - it might improve!

Great experience today. Greeted on arrival and appointment time as expected. Very friendly staff helped navigate "the system"! Couldn't have asked for a more positive and pleasant experience. Many thanks.

Almost finished with my treatment at Cheshire Dental Centre and I would like to give a Big thank you to Bijan Barfaraz (and his assistant), not only for the service I have received but also for helping me to feel at ease; I'm usually a very nervous patient

Delamere Surgery

Eagle Bridge Health Centre, Beames House,, Dunwoody Way, Crewe CW1 3AW, UK – 01270 275259

The receptionist was friendly, easy to talk to and did everything she could to help. I was seen promptly by a Doctor who was kind, thorough and professional. The whole experience was outstanding. Thank you.

Called up and got an appointment on the day. Was seen promptly to my appointment time by a very professional doctor, El-Genidy who listened to everything and was very thorough. Got a prescription and I only had to go downstairs to collect it. The whole place is clean and tidy, and well looked after. From my first visit I can strongly recommend it.

Gresty Brook Medical Centre

Brookhouse Dr, Crewe CW2 6NA, UK – 01270 650012

Like many Practices now there is a chronic GP shortage here (Tories should stop cutting the NHS budget and selling it to their friends) but there are some good GPs (and some awful ones).

They do what they can with what they have.

Hungerford Medical Centre

School Cres, Crewe CW1 5HA, UK – 01270 275949

The line is always busy and difficult to get hold of anyone. The doctors are generally good, but receptionists can be quite rude over the phone

As a student I am able to get appointments around lectures, letters for university where necessary and advice as well. Wait times could be improved especially when you have an appointment. One of the ladies at reception told me I cannot come if I do not have a telephone number ๐Ÿ™ƒ I provided an email but I needed to get a phone number before I could have started using the service. Other than that it's been great.

NHS Direct is now NHS 24. Just dial 111 to speak to a professional or click the link below for there self help website. Lots of really useful info but keep clear of heart surgery! If in doubt ask your GP or call 111. Good luck.

Leighton Hospital

Middlewich Rd, Crewe CW1 4QJ, UK – 01270 255141

I was admitted to Leighton on 9th October onto ward 10 ended up staying until the 13th and also had to have surgery on the 11th. This was my 1st long term stay and surgery in hospital and all the staff are friendly, caring and professional nothing was too much trouble and always kept me informed and put me at ease during my stay. Well done to you all.

I went to X-ray scan department for routine scan and was met by Mark who carried out my MRI scan to my neck and shoulders. Following same he raised some concern about the result and led me straight to A&E department. They were very busy but showed me every courtesy and within the hour I was seen and monitored primarily by two delightful nurses and then by Dr Mathews who gave me a thorough examination and referral to a consultant in Manchester, after first arranging the necessary neck support, again fitted by a lovely Sister. The department was buzzing with activity and there were queues of patients on trolleys in the passage leading in to the cubicle area. At no time was I made to think they were desperate to get rid of me to get to the next patient but were thorough and a pleasure to be in the company of without for one minute forgetting their endeavour. I applaud them for their abilities and professionalism.

Systems Recycling

Unit 7, Crewe Hall Enterprise Park, Weston Rd, Haslington, Crewe CW1 6UA, UK – 01270 536913

We play to our strengths which is collection and recycling of telephone, computer and other electronic equipment. We've had positive feedback from the majority of our customers where feedback has been given. We can often offer residual value on phone systems which have been looked after and are regularly in the London area. Give us a try today! You wont be disappointed.

Crewe Household Waste and Recycling Centre

Pyms Ln, Crewe CW1 3PJ, UK – 01270 215818

Very easy to dispose of waste, staff will help you move any waste you may need a hand with if you ask. They recycle most of the waste put into skip. Most waste can be disposed of here, thankfully.

The place has improved immeasurably over the years. It gets crowded at weekends, which is understandable, but as I'm retired, I go midweek. Some staff are helpful, and some are not, but it's the same in any organisation. It's easy to get out once you have finished, the only problems occurring when someone can't park properly. It's well laid out, compared to several years ago, but clearer labelling would be appreciated

United Recycling

3 Thomas St, Crewe CW1 2BD, UK – 01270 254355

Great place to get a bargain and something out of the ordinary new things in stock everyday all items for sale are listed on ebay

Great prices on used electricals and other items, friendly service. reccomended highly

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

Nursery and Preschools

La Maternelle Wistaston Day Nursery

Wistaston Church Lane Academy, Church Lane, Crewe, Wistaston, Crewe CW2 8EZ, UK – 01270 664466

I have two children which attend La Maternelle (my eldest since 2010) and can not fault the wonderful care they provide. The staff have always been extremely welcoming, attentive, approachable and supportive to both me and my husband as parents and to my children, ensuring they always feel safe, happy and secure during their time there. The setting is fantastic providing lots of fun activities both inside and out and I always enjoy hearing about what they have been doing during the day. The online Tapestry is also a great idea providing parents access to lots of pictures and observations of their children participating in fun and educational play. I have watched both my daughters confidence grow during their time at La Maternelle and can not recommend then enough as a day nursery, after school club and holiday club!

La Maternelle is a lovely and very special nursery where I always feel my children are safe and well cared for. Parents are made to feel very welcome by all the amazing and supportive staff and are always kept informed about what the children have been doing throughout the day. I am always very impressed with the high level of care given from all staff across the nursery. My children love it here and always have lots of fun whilst they learn. An outstanding nursery that is highly recommended.

The staff are all brilliant and friendly and always talk to me about what my sons done that day. It's a safe and secure place and I can't fault it at all, I've never had any trouble with them and I trust them all with my son.

Ruskin Community High School

Ruskin Rd, Crewe CW2 7JT, UK – 01270 560514

I went here from 2009 till 2014 and I wouldn't recommend this Secondary school, but it is okay for a standard secondary school. Tge teacher are very supportive and helpful. But some of the teachers have racist agendas. Althought, I'm had some unforgettable memories though

Floor is vey dirty and some of the staff are mean. There are some bullies there too. Some lessons are fun. There are also and gang of smokers around the outside of the school, as well as some inside
